About Us
Inaugurated in 1990 after many years of gestation by four friends, Tano Pino Salvatore and Sebastiano, who restored it into the Osteria U Locale by recovering an old disused building. Of the original owners, only Sebastiano remained, who likes to call himself the peasant cook: supported by his brother Giuseppe, for years in charge of various catering establishments in Italy and Germany, in the guise of chef di sala. U Locale in Buccheri offers that classic traditional Sicilian cuisine that brings to mind the cuisine of grandmothers who cooked with wisdom and love for families and grandchildren. Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, with that touch of Sicily that never hurts. There are all the typical dishes, which, however, are given a touch of modernity and freshness, which gives the words a different touch, ancient but at the same time modern. The location is simple, like eating at grandma's house, tablecloths, glasses and cutlery from home.
