Antica Pizzelleria 1973

$$ Via Guglielmo Marconi, 36, 72023, Mesagne
Italian Mediterranean Casual Dining Family Style Pizzeria
The name "Antica Pizzelleria 1973" implies a long-standing tradition. "Antica" translates to "ancient" or "old" in English, suggesting that the pizzeria has been rooted in time-honoured techniques. The year "1973" is likely the establishment date, marking nearly 50 years of service at the time of my last update. Pizza: As a "Pizzelleria," patrons can anticipate a variety of pizzas. Given its "Antica" branding, traditional methods and recipes probably form the core of its pizza offerings. You might find classics like Margherita, Marinara, and other traditional toppings. Baked Goods: The term "Pizzelleria" also implies that besides regular pizzas, they might offer "pizzelle" - conventional Italian waffle cookies made from flour, eggs, sugar, butter, and flavourings. Pizzelle are usually flavoured with anise but can also be found in vanilla, lemon, and other variations. Local and Seasonal Ingredients: Given the emphasis on tradition, it would not be surprising if the establishment prided itself on using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, a hallmark of genuine Italian cooking. Vintage Charm: Given its legacy since 1973, the decor might reflect an old-world charm with vintage furnishings, black and white photographs, and perhaps memorabilia from the past decades.

"Martino" implies a personalized touch, likely a family-owned business or perhaps named after the founder or a key person involved in the establishment. Pizza: Given the name, expect a variety of pizzas ranging from traditional Italian classics to some unique or local specialities. Ingredients are likely fresh, and the dough might be prepared in-house daily. Other Italian Offerings: The pizzeria could offer other Italian staples like calzones, salads, or antipasti, adding depth to the menu and catering to those wanting something different besides pizza. Casual and Friendly: The name implies a relaxed environment where families, groups of friends, or even solo diners would feel welcome. Live Pizza-Making: A place like this might have an open kitchen or a glass partition where patrons can watch pizzas being made, adding to the authenticity and interactive dining experience.

Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, with that touch of Sicily that never hurts. Trattoria Sant'Anna

$$ Via Sant'Anna, 2, 90024, Gangi
Italian Mediterranean Casual Dining Family Style
Trattoria Sant'Anna is the first place in the historic centre of Gangi dedicated exclusively to catering; the restaurant was born from the will of two friends, Santo Spitale and Antonio Mocciaro, who, betting on themselves and, above all, on the potential of their territory, renovated, these premises giving life to the Trattoria Sant'Anna. Palazzo Bongiorno is one of the most beautiful structures of eighteenth-century architecture in the Madonie. Our structure is located in the east wing of the building, and in the centre, there is a lovely garden with a breathtaking view of the panorama downstream of the village and the Torre dei Ventimiglia. The research and care of raw materials are fundamental for us; for this, we use meat coming exclusively from local farms, cold cuts, vegetables and products of the land, the aromas of the Madonie, the extra virgin olive oil, the cheeses, first of all, the provola delle Madonie and the renowned pecorino, the typical sweets and bread produced in Gangi. The freshness of products, careful selection of raw materials, attention to detail, dedication and passion are our "watchwords" and what we intend to offer you should you decide to begin this journey into the Gangitan food and wine tradition. Indeed, the skill, experience and creativity of the chef play a fundamental role in every culinary experience, but in our restaurant, where works from the Giambecchina Institution are exhibited, among other things, the atmosphere and the magic of the place give that extra touch that will make eating a unique experience.
